Q: What does our website offer?
A: The Learning Academy offers all students live online tutorials from the comfort of their home. Students can access content provided by books published by CJFallon.

Q: How much does a term course cost?
A: Junior Certificate courses cost €120 per course per term and Leaving Certificate courses cost €140 per course per term.

Q: How much does an Intensive course cost?
A: Intensive courses are priced differently than Term courses. Please keep an eye on our site for details on our Intensive Courses.

Q: How many weeks of tuition are in a Term course?
A: We offer 3 terms throughout the academic year. Each term consists of 8 weeks.

Q: When do the courses commence?
A: All courses will commence the week of 16th September and run for 3 terms for the academic year. Further details can be found on our website. 

Q: Can students sample a class before registering?
A: Under the ‘How It Works’ tab students can view examples of a class without registering.

Q: What equipment does each student require?
A: Any laptop, MacBook or tablet which enables the running of Google Chrome is suitable for accessing the website.

Q: What specification does the laptop, MacBook or tablet have to be?
A: Any working laptop/tablet with Internet access.

Q: If a course has started can I join during the term?A: Yes, all classes are recorded. If a student joins during the term they will have access to past recordings within that term. 

Q: If I join late do I still get access to the course videos?
A: Yes, once a student joins the course they will gain access to past recordings and other documentation from that term.

Q: If I join a course from Term 2 or Term 3 can I pay to gain access to previous terms?
A: Yes, students can pay to gain access to content and videos from previous terms. Students will need to pay in full to gain this access.

Q: How can I get support if I need help?
A: You can contact our support team using the contact page on the website, via email or through our WhatsApp support tool.

Q: Are there discounts for multiple students?
A: Currently we offer no discounts.

Q: If I am unable to log on for any reason to a live class am I entitled to view a copy of the notes for that class?
A: Yes, the recorded class and notes are available to view within 48 hours as they are stored on the website and are accessible at any time.

Q: What happens if a student misses a class?
A: All classes are recorded and are available to view within 48hours. If a student misses a class they can review the classes via the recording at any time.

Q: What happens if a teacher misses a class?
A: If a teacher misses a class that class will run at the end of the term.

Q: If my internet goes down before or during class time do I get a refund?
A: Unfortunately, if you cannot access the website due to a fault with your Internet a refund cannot be given but the student will have access to the recorded version of the class within 48 hours.

Q: Am I entitled to a refund if I cancel during a term?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund.

Q: Are the teachers Garda vetted?
A: Yes, all teachers are Garda vetted and are registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland.

Q: How long will the recordings of each live class remain on the website?
A: The recorded classes stay accessible on the website for the length of the academic year from the term that the student first registers.

Q: Can you download the recorded class?
A: Unfortunately, classes cannot be downloaded but they can be viewed through the website.

Q: Can I change my subject course or class time during the year?
A: Where possible The Learning Academy will try facilitate the change of subject/class time but each request will be examined individually.

Q: Do classes continue during holiday periods?
A: No, there are breaks at mid-term, Christmas and Easter.

Q: Can a 4th Year student take part in Leaving Certificate subjects?
A: Yes, it is recommended that a 4th Year student enrolls into 5th year classes.

Q: How many students will be in the class? 
A: Class sizes vary, but are restricted to a maximum of 20 students per class.

Q: Are the classes conducted lecture style or are students free to ask questions?
A: Live classes are student orientated so we highly recommend that students take part in class by asking questions verbally or by using the private and public messaging system built into each class. Outside of class times students can ask questions at any time through the Activity Zone.
